“Fields of Gold” produced in partnership with the Decatur Herald & Review is streaming now on Prime Video, Tubi, and You Tube. Here, the actors who portray young A. E. (Gene) Staley and his brother and Arthur Staley are the great-great-grandsons of A. E. Staley, Alex Staley and Lucas Staley. The film location was a farm in Illinois that still grows corn and beans just as young Gene and Arthur did in North Carolina in the late 1800’s. Gene and Arthur’s father died when Gene was 18, leaving it up to the boys to take care of the family. Find out more from our documentary or at The Staley Museum. ... See MoreSee Less
